2 — The Funnel That Still Works in 2026
Cheap top-of-funnel attention → a middle-of-funnel value hub that builds trust on autopilot → a bottom-of-funnel invitation that feels obvious. Why 'hell yeah' beats 'who is this guy.'

Cheap top-of-funnel attention → a middle-of-funnel value hub that builds trust on autopilot → a bottom-of-funnel invitation that feels obvious. Why 'hell yeah' beats 'who is this guy.'
The shape: cheap attention at the top, a value hub in the middle, one honest invitation at the bottom. Nothing exotic — the 2026 difference is how cheap the top got and how automated the middle can be.
Run inexpensive ads (interruption platforms first — next lesson covers why) pointed at lead magnets: free, genuinely useful assets that trade value for an email. You're not selling here. You're not even introducing yourself, really. You're proving — in one artifact — that you understand their problem. Empathy, packaged.
This is where most businesses have nothing, and it's the highest-leverage fix in the whole funnel. The middle is a place you keep delivering — a free members area, a content library, an email rhythm — where a stranger becomes someone who's gotten real value from you five, ten, twenty times.
The entire game is: keep pumping value until the trust math flips. No pitch. The middle exists so that time-plus-trust accumulates while you sleep.
When you finally make the offer — the program, the event, the engagement — the reaction you're engineering for is "oh, hell yeah, that sounds like a great idea."
Compare the alternative: "I've never heard of this guy and he's asking me to join his mastermind." Same offer, same price — completely different close rate. The bottom of the funnel isn't where selling happens; it's where the middle of the funnel gets harvested.
Your best material goes in the FREE middle. Beginners hoard their good stuff for the paid thing and wonder why nobody trusts them enough to buy it. The value hub only builds trust if what's in it is actually good.
Next: where to buy the top-of-funnel attention — and the psychology split that decides it.
