Offers. Sales. Leads. Operations.
The four pillars of OSLO. Same letters, distinct moves, strict order. Most founders try to fix the wrong pillar — this lesson tells you what each one actually is.
The four pillars, in order
You don't pick the pillar you like. You pick the one the assessment flagged as your bottleneck, and you don't skip ahead. The order matters because each pillar depends on the one before it being real.
O — Offers
Question: Is what you sell actually worth what you charge — and is that obvious in 30 seconds?
Offers covers your value proposition, pricing, packaging, guarantees, and positioning. The work here is:
- Defining the avatar (specific human, not "founders")
- Making the outcome legible in one sentence
- Pricing that signals value (most founders charge 5-10× too little)
- Packaging that removes the "what exactly do I get" question
- A guarantee that makes saying yes feel safer than saying no
Most founders skip Offers because it feels existential. It IS existential. That's why it goes first.
S — Sales
Question: Can you take a warm prospect from interested to paying without dropping them?
Sales is the conversion process. Scripts, objection handling, two-call sales (or one-call if your ticket is right), proposals, pipeline management.
The trap: trying to scale Leads when Sales isn't dialed. More leads × broken sales process = more wasted calls, not more revenue. Fix the conversion first. Aim for 30%+ conversion on warm calls before you spend a dollar on more demand.
L — Leads
Question: Do qualified prospects find you predictably, or is it always feast-or-famine?
Leads is your demand engine. Content (seven-message strategy), ads, referrals, partnerships, SEO, lead magnets, the Value Velocity Vortex.
L only matters AFTER O and S work. Generating leads for a broken offer is paying to expose more people to your wrong thing. Generating leads when your sales process is leaky is paying for prospects who slip through your fingers.
O — Operations
Question: Can you deliver everything you sold without you being the bottleneck?
Operations is delivery + systems. SOPs, hiring, agents, automation, the FAST Blueprint, HireMako. This is where you make sure growth doesn't break you.
Ops only matters when you're already growing. Building elaborate ops for a business that hasn't proven Offers and Sales is premature optimization.
Then you cycle back to Offers — better positioning, higher tier, sharper avatar. Each OSLO loop, the vehicle changes: bike → car → plane → jet. Same four letters, more output per unit of effort.
Action in 10 minutes: Look at your assessment result. Identify your #1 pillar. Write one sentence describing what that pillar means in your specific business right now. The next lesson has the moves for whichever pillar you're on.
