From 'will this prompt work' to 'what direction do I give.' From one agent to a crew with boundaries. From tasks to workflows that loop. The vocabulary every intermediate framework assumes.
The claim: intermediate isn't more tools or fancier prompts. It's three shifts in how you think about the work. Every framework past this point assumes all three ā here they are, named.
Beginners debug prompts ā seventeen variations, hoping one lands. Intermediates debug directions ā the outcome, the context, the taste. When output comes back wrong, the question isn't "what magic words did I miss," it's "what would a sharp new hire have needed to know that I didn't say?"
The escalation: at intermediate, directions get standing. Your voice rules, your formats, your allergies live in memory ā so every direction starts from your defaults instead of from zero. You stop performing the briefing and start maintaining it.
There's a moment every operator hits: your one agent is doing three jobs, context bleeding between them, quality sliding. The beginner instinct is a better agent. The intermediate move is a second agent with a defined boundary.
One writes, one reviews. One researches, one drafts. The boundary is the design decision ā what each seat owns, and where the handoff happens. (Sound familiar? That's the Org Chart knocking.)
A task is "write this email." A workflow is "every Monday: pull the numbers, flag what's stuck, draft the update in my voice, and queue it for my review." Input ā work ā output ā your feedback ā on a schedule, without you initiating.
The test: if you stopped assigning things for a week, would anything still happen? Beginners: no. Intermediates: the Monday review still lands, because they design loops, not one-offs.
The Org Chart assumes crews. V³ and 7-Message assume workflows. Everything intermediate assumes directions. You now have all three names ā which means the next series you open will read like a map instead of a mystery.
Next: pick your intermediate track ā by your bottleneck, not by curiosity.
