Plugins = FAST, Shipped
Anthropic shipped a plugin format for Claude Code that maps 1:1 to the FAST framework. A plugin is just Factory of Agents with Skills and Tools, packaged with a manifest file. Hot-swappable, transferable, installable in one command.
The bet: the plugin shape isn't a Claude-specific UX thing. It's the operating-system version of the framework anyone serious about AI agents has been moving toward. This brief explains the layout, the design process, and what separates a great plugin from a passable one.
What's inside
- The plugin file layout —
.claude-plugin/,commands/,skills/,scripts/. The whole shape on one page. - Map to FAST — Agents, Skills, Tools, Factory, line by line, with the OSLO taxonomy + the five tooling layers spelled out.
- What makes a skill or plugin great vs just okay — the waterfall (Factory → Agent tier → Skills → Tools) and what happens when you skip a rung.
- Design process — build skills with a smart agent in a sandbox; reverse-engineer from real inputs and outputs; use fastframe.work as the source of truth.
- The Opus call — which agent to use right now, and why.
How to read it
Five minutes, cold. No background needed beyond the FAST Blueprint itself (modules 1–4 above). If you've watched those, this just sharpens the picture.

How FAST Fits Inside the Agentic Org Chart
FAST taught you to build a worker. The Org Chart is where your workers sit. The 6-minute bridge between the framework you just finished and the one that scales it.

You Are the Architect
The one role on the org chart that stays human. The Architect doesn't do the work and doesn't manage workers — they design the systems that do. The mindset shift the entire framework is built on.

One coffee, one pen, your actual week. Score all four OSLO pillars, find the real bottleneck (it's rarely the one you think), and commit to one pillar play.
