Block 6: It Works for Brad ā I'll Be the One Who Breaks It
The system runs on architecture, not Brad-magic ā your assets snap into the same Lego blocks that already work.
This one hides.
It doesn't show up in surveys. It doesn't come out in the room. It leaks out of confident, high-performing founders when the pressure's finally on and they think nobody's listening.
One of my clients said it on August 17th. Bear with me ā this is the sentence that unlocked the whole lesson:
"I'm not a fear guy, my fear is, okay, it's working, and then I go make it mine, and the damn thing stops working. I've become the problem." (Team call 8/17)
(Brad note: the names in here ā Daphne, Ben, Erica ā are real clients on real calls. If you want in the same room, apply at buildwithoptimus.com.)
That's imposter syndrome inverted.
You don't doubt the AI. You doubt YOU. You've watched the machine run. You believe in it. Your fear is that the second you swap in your face, your script, your voice ā the magic drains out and you're standing there holding a busted thing.
I have to be careful how I say this next part because it's the whole punchline.
The magic isn't me.
Let me say that again with the actual quote from the same meeting: "It's not me. Every single part of this... is AI driven... So it's just like Lego blocks, swapping them in... There's no world in which you have to actually be physically present for any of this." (Team call 8/17)
I said "Lego blocks" on purpose. The stack isn't a person. It's a set of interlocking parts ā skills, tools, agents, avatars, code ā that connect the same way regardless of whose face is on the top brick.
Later same call, I got direct with the team about it: "You have all the same elements I do, literally all of them. I have all the skills, all the code, all the tools, all the avatar pieces. All of it's equivalent." (Team call 8/17)
Equivalent. Not "similar." Not "we can get you close." Equivalent.
And on the other side of the fence ā the version of this block that gets externalized ā Daphne named it in one sentence on August 14th: "It's 100% you." (Daphne call 8/14)
Meaning: when someone tells her AI doesn't work for them, it's not the AI. Every time. The stack works. The operator wasn't willing to do the thing.
So there are two versions of this block. Your job is to figure out which one you're carrying.
Version A: the machine works but only for the person who built it. False. See Lego.
Version B: the machine works for anyone who does the reps. True. And that means you.
Do this
Stop asking whether it will transfer. That's the fear talking.
Take the working stack ā the exact one you've watched me run ā and swap in your assets. Your script. Your brand. Your voice. Your customer avatar.
Run the test.
The question you've been asking for six months answers itself in an afternoon. And when the first result comes back ā good, bad, weird ā it has your name on it, not mine.
That's when this block dies. Not from another training. From your own receipts.
Come find me inside when you've got the first one.
