The one role on the org chart that stays human. The Architect doesn't do the work and doesn't manage workers — they design the systems that do. The mindset shift the entire framework is built on.
Before the pillars, before the loops, there's the shift that makes all of it work: who you become.
In the old org chart, the human at the top managed people. In the agentic org chart, the human at the top designs systems. That's the whole shift — and it's the only role on the chart that stays human.
An Architect doesn't do the work and doesn't micromanage the workers. An Architect decides three things:
Everything below you on the chart is an agent. Your leverage is no longer how many hours you can work or how many people you can manage — it's how clearly you can design. Design well, and the org runs without you in the loop for every task. Design poorly, and no amount of agents will save it. The thinking is the job.
The rest of this framework gives you the map and the machinery — OSLO, the four pillars every business runs on, and the FAST loop, the four-part shape every agent system takes. But none of it matters until you make the move from operator to Architect. You're not hiring a team. You're drawing an org chart and letting it run.
Keep that frame as you go through the rest: every pillar you map and every loop you build is something you're designing, not something you're doing. Your hand stays on the wheel. The work moves without you having to be the one moving it.
